The Catholic Diocese of Kimbe which was established in 2003,
is sufragan of the Archdiocese of Rabaul and has an area 25,000
square kilometres and a population of 205,000 inhabitants.
From these total population in West New Britain, 130,000 are
Catholics, who are in 19 Parishes located around the province,
and served by 21 priests (12 Diocesan and 9 Religious), 18 Women
Religious and 30 Seminarians.
The new
Bishop of Kimbe diocese is Bishop William Fey, who was installed
